With many people spending long hours sitting in an office it can be hard to sit up straight. One of the big problems with poor posture is that it can cause pain. This pain occurs because when sitting poorly, your joints are stretched to their limit, putting undue stresses on supporting ligaments and muscles.
For example: If you take your index finger and bend it backwards as far as it will go, nothing happens. But if you hold it there for a period of time, then pain begins – much like in your back.
